Locking technology can achieve extremely economical and technically clever solutions. Hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders work according to the principle of interlocking and locking at the terminal position, and can choose to lock when the piston rod extends or retracts, or lock at both terminal positions. When reaching the terminal position, the cylinder automatically locks the piston rod. The locking position can be reliably maintained even in the absence of pressure, and will only be released when pressure is applied to the cylinder in the opposite direction. The clamping force of the locking position is several times the travel force, so even high reaction forces can be reliably received. The fall protection and load rigidity of the system are convincing, and it can work reliably even under multiple times the possible pneumatic or hydraulic pressure.
